Frank A. Wisehart  CPA, CVA, CFE, ABV

As President of Wisehart & Wisehart and forensic accountant since the firm’s beginning in 1999, Frank has remained dedicated to assisting a multitude of clients with matters of forensic accounting, business valuations, mergers and acquisitions and litigation support. Frank’s spectrum of expertise includes a combined 15 years experience as a Controller and Chief Financial Officer as well as vast experience as a forensic accountant in fraud, business valuation, economic damages, forecasting, accounting malpractice, management negligence, contractual performance failures, bankruptcy and other matters involving general commercial litigation.

In 1988, Frank graduated from Miami University, Oxford, Ohio with a B.S. in Business Administration with a dual major in Accounting and Finance. Prior to becoming president of Wisehart & Wisehart, Frank held several prominent positions in the finance field including IT Auditor for Ernst & Young, controller for Foremost Computer Systems and Newtowne, Inc., Vice President and Treasurer of Colony Development Corporation. Throughout Frank’s professional experience, he successfully prepared financial statements, budgets, forecasts, audits, reviews and tax returns. He also produced many nationally recognized and published IT audit deliverables within Ernst & Young’s national exemplary deliverables database.

Frank Wisehart’s first clients in 1999 included Merrill Lynch, New York, NY and Cerberus Capital Partners, New York, NY. His other accomplishments and involvements include his appointment to the:

  1. American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) Professional Ethics Executive Committee American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) Professional Ethics Executive Committee’s Technical Standards Subcommittee

  2. Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants (OHCPA) Ethics Committee

In addition, Frank was selected for the NACVA instructor team to teach Economic Losses, the Market Method Business Valuation Approach, the Fundamentals of Litigation Consulting and Applying Business Valuation Premiums and Discounts classes. In his latter accomplishment, Frank was recognized as an “Instructor of Great Distinction” in 2004 by the NACVA. He continues to pursue his passion for forensic accounting and business valuation completing 500+ hours of continuing education in the areas of fraud examination, business valuation, auditing and specialized knowledge.

A qualified expert witness in State and Federal cases, Frank applies his expertise outside the office and lecture halls. Frank has served as an expert witness in cases including Becker v. Becker, United States of America v. Daniel Thompson, Menke v. Menke, and the Estate of Anita Jackson.
Today, Frank’s work with Wisehart & Wisehart includes forensic accounting, fraud, business valuation, economic damages and lost income damages. Frank’s work product is used frequently in matters of commercial litigation, family law, financial due diligence, and mergers and acquisitions engagements.
